Ellen was born in Rutland, VT on August 29, 1943, one of six children of the late Alfred J. and Kathryn (Dailey) Lomartire. She was raised in Manchester, New Hampshire where she graduated from St. Joseph's School.Ellen worked for New England Telephone Co. for several years before staying home to raise her two sons.
Ellen was the beloved wife of Walter L. Coffin with whom she shared 26 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Thomas G. Ashworth Jr.. and his wife Patrice of Nashua, NH, and the late Steven J. Ashworth. Dear sister of Patricia Brady of Wilmington, Judith Lubin of Malden, and the late Jane Frano, Paul Lomartire, and Nicholas Lomartire. Loving grandmother of Brian and Andrew Ashworth of Nashua, NH. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor of Ellen's life at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose for her Funeral Service on Monday, Dec. 28 at 9:00am.
