Elsa (Donatelli) De Sanctis
Elsa was born on March 29, 1924 in Boston and raised in East Boston. She married Raymond De Sanctis in 1945 and they lived in East Boston. Mrs. De Sanctis stayed at home to raise her two sons, and worked as a bookkeeper for Harrison Manufacturing.
Her talents as a cook will never be forgotten. Simply put, she was the best cook in the world. Always true to her Italian heritage, Elsa loved gathering everyone together to share stories and a home cooked meal. She cherished her grandchildren and will be lovingly remembered for her endless love and dedication to her 2 children, 3 grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
Elsa was the beloved wife of the late Raymond De Sanctis with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Raymond De Sanctis, Jr. of East Boston, and Brian "Chuck" De Sanctis of East Boston. Caring daughter of the late Augusto and Assunta (Camarda) Donatelli. Dear sister of Antonetta Fiamingo and her late husband Frederick of Burlington, Eda Kramer and her husband Kenneth of Lynnfield, and the late Walter Donatelli. Cherished grandmother of Ashley De Sanctis and her husband Glen St. Germain of Narragansett, RI, Antonio De Sanctis of Wickford, RI, and Kelsey De Sanctis of Wickford, RI.Loving great-grandmother of Sophie Rae St. Germain of Narragansett, RI.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Elsa's life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, March 6 from 4-8 PM, and for her Funeral Service celebrated on Friday at 10AM. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
