Mrs. Penachio was born August 16, 1924 in Saugus, MA, daughter of the late Charles Tura and Mildred (Curtis) Tura.
Mrs. Penachio and her late husband had shared 58 years of marriage.She had been a resident of Wakefield for 14 years and a prior Melrose resident for 15 years.She was raised and educated in Saugus and had also lived in the City of Everett.She worked as a secretary for the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles in Boston for 29 years.
Beloved wife of the late Pasquale "Pat" Penachio; Loving mother of Lloyd Sayles and his wife Nancy of Saugus, Patricia Garofano and her husband, Gary of Wakefield and Ernest Penachio and his wife, Elaine of Port St. Lucie, Florida and the late Carol Haley and James Penachio; Sister of Charlotte Cahill, Leonard and George Tura, all of Melrose, Mildred Salsman of Saugus and the late Peter, Charles and Joseph Tura. Sister-in-law of Ernestine "Dolly" Penachio of Everett. Grandmother of Ernest and Alicia Penachio, James V. III and Jillian M. Garofano, William J. Sayles and Michelle A. Sayles-Waterman, Lisa A. Haley-Wells, James, Steven and Michael Haley. Also survived by six great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews.
