Miss Erma Jean Wilson, a life long resident of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 13, 2014at Cape Heritage Nursing Home in Sandwich, at age 93..
Jean was born on August 16, 1920, in Melrose, one of four children of the late Samuel J. Wilson and Grace (MacNider).She was raised and educated in Melrose.Jean was a extremely confident woman as she was a waitress at Durgin Park in Boston for 44 years. She did her own plumbing, electrical and roofing on her home in Melrose.
Jean was the beloved sister of the late Nelson Wilson, Dorothy Wilson and Helen Maskell. She was the cherished aunt of Dennis Maskell of Orleans, Janice Marcantonio and her late husband Paul of Marstons Mills, Karin Biggs and her husband Scott of E. Fairfield, VT and Christine Maskell of Marstons Mills. Dear great aunt of Randy Maskell of CT, Darlene Maskell of NJ, Mark Maskell of Orleans, Kym Maskell of CT, Dennis Maskell, Jr. of CT, Brenda Evans of Hyannis, Lisa Evans of Centerville, Jeremy Biggs of NH, Justin Biggs of PA, Kerri Laskey of Billerica, Seth Fowler of CN, Adam Fowler of CN and Tristan Fowler of Gardner, ME. Dear cousin of Berton "Buddy" Wilson of Melrose. Also survived by her dear and close long time friends Katherine Ray of Melrose, Doug Tracia of Wakefield, Roseanne McCormack of Melrose, Thomas Grant of Melrose and Lee Zeima of Melrose.
