Mrs. Theobald was born August 8, 1912 in East Boston, MA, daughter of the late Byron N. Corkum and E. Pearl (Eastwood) Corkum.
Mrs. Theobald was a graduate of Melrose High School.She had worked in the family business since high school as a secretary for B. N. Corkum Transportation Co. in Malden, retiring in 1979.Many years ago she was very active in the Green Street Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.She was also a member of the Faith Evangelical Church.
Evelyn was the loving wife of the late Elton E. Theobald.Devoted mother of Janet E. Duck of Melrose.Sister of Charles C. "Bud" Corkum of Lynnfield and L. Howard Corkum of Stoneham.Grandmother of Kenneth R. Duck of Bradford, TN and Steven D. Duck of Ramona, CA.Also survived by 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA.
