Florence E. Pike, a longtime resident of Center Village in Lynnfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Life Care Center in Stoneham, at age 95.

Florence was born in Port Clyde, Nova Scotia one of seven daughters of the late Robert H. W. Pike and Elizabeth (MacKay) Pike. She was raised in Weymouth where she graduated from Weymouth High School, and later attained her associates degree from Bridgewater State College. She received training to become a Registered Nurse at Melrose Hospital School of Nursing. For many years, Florence worked as an RN in several Boston area hospitals.

Florence was an avid reader who had a great thirst for knowledge. She loved learning new things, and had a keen interest in Winston Churchill.She was also a music lover, and enjoyed relaxing to the big bands or Frank Sinatra.She loved her family, especially her beloved sisters, and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Florence was the loving sister of Audrey Sulis of Duxbury, Heloise Mailloux of NJ, and the late Eula Tower, Ivy Pike, Elizabeth "Betty" Whittier, and Eleanor Arnoldi.She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Florence's life at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose for her Memorial Service on Monday, May 18 at 11AM. Interment in Village Cemetery, Weymouth.
