Florian J. Von Imhof
Florian was born on June 24, 1936 in Berlin, Germany, one of three sons of the late Heironymus "Rony" von Imhof and Ingeborg (Schimmelpfennig) von Imhof.
Mr. von Imhof graduated from University of Illinois - Chicago, and received his Master's and PhD degrees in philosophy of science from Boston University.He was a professor and lecturer for over 10 years for Boston University, Northeastern University, Bradford College, Salem State College, and Merrimack College.After his years as an educator, Florian worked in the Boston financial field as a systems analyst for over 20 years.
Florian was an avid reader, loved philosophy, skiing, hiking, travelling and classical music.He was a Melrose Youth Soccer Coach for many years and will be lovingly remembered for his good sense of humor by his sons, Stefan and Christoph and beloved wife, Linda.
He was the beloved husband of Linda A. (Ofrenzo) von Imhof with whom he shared 37 years of marriage. Devoted father of Stefan A. von Imhof and his wife Holly Graycar of Santa Barbara, CA, and Christoph A. von Imhof of Arlington, VA.Dear brother of Chris von Imhof and his wife Brigitte of Girdwood, AK and the late Fabian von Imhof.Dear brother-in-law of Barbara Hoffman of Columbus, OH and Carol Goldrick of Upper Arlington, OH.Loving uncle of Rudy von Imhof, C.J. von Imhof, Fabian von Imhof, Stacy Mcallister, Brad Hoffman, and Cyle Goldrick.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Tuesday, June 21 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 PM.
