Francis A. Mccomas
Francis was born January 23, 1940 in Miami, FL, son of the late Arvid and Marion (Ford) McComas. He was a resident of Melrose for most of his life, previously residing in Stoneham. He was a graduate of Stoneham High School and Bentley College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Mr. McComas worked for many years as an Auditor for the Massachusetts Department of Education.
Francis served in the United States Air Force as an Airman 1st Class during Vietnam.
Francis was the husband of Marilyn A. (Liebermann) McComas.Father of Katherine E. McComas of Melrose. Son-in-law of Olive (Thorp) Liebermann of New Port Richie, FL.Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral service at the First Congregational Church, 121 West Foster Street Melrose, Thursday, January 15, 2004 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, Melrose Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
