Mr. Frank J. Gosselin Jr. of Stoneham, formerly of Malden died at the Soldiers Home in Chelsea Sunday September 21, 2003 after a very lengthy illness. Frank was born in Worcester, MA October 19, 1920, son of the late Alberta (Gagnon) Gosselin and Frank J. Gosselin Sr.Mr. Gosselin lived in Stoneham for the past 11 years and was a former long time resident of Malden.Mr. Gosselin was an aerospace engineer for many years with General Dynamics.He received his engineering degree from Boston University, 1958 and his MBA from California-Western University, 1961.Mr. Gosselin was a Major in the US Air Force having served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. Frank received four Bronze Service Stars and the Distinguished Flying Cross on January 29, 1945.He also received the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and also one with 8 Oak Leaf Cluthers.He also received the the European African Middle East Theatre Ribbon and Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal and the United Naitons Service Medal. Frank was the husband of Dorothy (Brown) Gosselin.Wonderful loving stepfather of Clifford A. Cioffi of Malden, Carole M. Sartor of Andover, Bert F. Cioffi of Gilmanton, NH and M.Catherine "Cathy" Powers of Stoneham. Brother of Adele M. Larson of Malden and the late Russell Gosselin.Grandfather of Rikki, Taryn, Randy, Brendan and Charlee. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael's Chapel, at the Soldiers Home, 91 Crest Ave., Chelsea, Tuesday September 23 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral mass in the Chapel Reception Room from 9:30- 11 AM. Interment will be in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA Tuesday at 2:15pm. Gifts in his memory may be made to the Quigley Memorial Hospital at the Soldiers Home, 91 Crest Avenue, Chelsea, MA02150.
