Mr. Frank A. "Pete" Peterson, a resident of Wakefield, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Golden Living Center - Elmhurst in Melrose.He was 85 years old.Mr. Peterson was born on March 20, 1924 in Medford, a son of the late Arthur F. Peterson and Mary J. (Wandlear) Peterson.Frank or "Pete" as he was known was raised in Medford and had been a resident of Wakefield for over 40 years.Mr. Peterson worked as a machinist/tool maker for Raytheon, retiring in 1993 after 42 years.He was a member and past master of Baalbec Lodge of East Boston and member of the Star of Bethlehem Lodge AF&AM, Wyoming Lodge AF&AM and the Aleppo Temple Shrine.He was the beloved husband of the late Marguerite M. "Peg" (McCarthy) Peterson with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.Dear brother of the late Florence Sharpe, Dorothy Murphy and George Peterson.Also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Wednesday, September 9 at 11:30 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
