Mr. Frank E. Wilson, of Melrose and formerly of Saugus, passed away suddenly on April 28, 2009 at his home. He was 77 years old.

Frank was born on November 3, 1931 in Saugus, one of five children of the late Helen (Rogers) Wilson and Dexter Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was raised in North Reading and lived in Saugus and Melrose. For over 30 years, he worked for Northeastern Fence Co. as a warehouseman. Frank served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Melrose Church of the Nazarene.

Frank was the beloved husband of 50 years to the late Evelyn B. (Atkins) Wilson and the loving father of Caren J. Blasi and her husband Paul of Saugus and Catherine J. Mattera and Cheryl J. Grandi and her husband Duane all of Nashua, NH. He was the dear brother of Jean Kyser of Windham, NH, Ruth Wilson of Palm Desert, CA and the late Chester Wilson and Rodger Wilson. The cherished grandfather of Ryan Blasi, Jeffrey Blasi, Sarah Blasi, Nicholas Mattera, Kristopher Grandi, Kristyn Grandi and Matthew Grandi. Frank was the cherished great grandfather of Brent, Marc, Lilli and Isabella. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service at the Melrose Church of the Nazarene, (corner of Green and Short St.) Melrose, Saturday, May 2 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE on Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment with military honors presented by the US Army will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.

Gifts in Frank's memory may be made to the memorial fund at the church.
