Frederick A. Shea

Frederick A. Shea, a resident of Melrose, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Winchester Hospital, at the age of 73.

He was born in Everett on November 15, 1950, one of three children of the late Arthur F. and Barbara M. (LaFave) Shea and remained a dedicated member of the Melrose community throughout his life.

Fred's journey began in Melrose, where he attended Melrose High School, graduating in 1968. He then pursued higher education, attending Clarkson College of Technology in Pottsdam, NY, and later UMASS Amherst. Fred proudly served in the United States Air Force, a testament to his patriotism and commitment to his country.

Throughout his career, Fred excelled in the field of sales, working at Hills Office Supplies on Main Street in Melrose, and FW Webb Office Supplies. His warm personality and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike.

Fred was the loving brother of Paul D. Shea, and the late Daniel F. Shea, and good friend and neighbor to Christine Burke.

Services for Fred are private. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
