Mrs. Gail (Richardson) Starr, of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington, at the age of 64.

Gail was born on April 3, 1948 in Melrose, the second oldest of nine children and graduated from Melrose High School.She met her one true love James R. Starr and they married on June 15th 1969.They settled in Malden with son, James, Jr. and daughter Shelley.Gail worked as the office manager at the medical practice, Malden Internists for 20 years.

As the oldest daughter of a family of nine, Gail learned at a young age how to care for others.She helped her parents raise her siblings, and continued throughout her life to take care of everybody.Right up until her own passing, she lived with her father in Melrose to help him.A loving wife to Jim, Sr. for many years, they enjoyed yearly summer camping trips to Old Stage Campground in Madbury, New Hampshire.She was also a very doting mother to her children and was always ready to provide anything she could for them.

In her spare time, Gail enjoyed crocheting, cooking, bowling, and was an avid book reader.She loved her toy poodle, "Candy" and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Starr, Sr. with whom she shared 40 years of marriage.Cherished daughter of John G. Richardson and the late Jeanne F. (MacKay) Richardson.Devoted mother of James R. Starr, Jr. and his wife Tricia of Seabrook, NH and Shelley J. Starr and her husband Mike Corcoran of Charlton.Dear sister of Jack Richardson of Malden, Allen Richardson and his wife Pat of Braintree, Gary Richardson and his wife Peggy of Melrose, Jill Donahue and her husband Tom of Melrose, Judy Richardson of Melrose, Lynn Freethy and her husband Larry of Saugus, Dawn Donahue and her husband Joe of Derry, NH, and Glen Richardson and his wife Cindy of Malden.Loving grandmother of Tryston, Katelyn, and Heather Starr.Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
