George C. Johnson

Mr. John C. Johnson, III of Melrose died December 30, 2003 in a local nursing home.
He was born in Brookline, MA, son of the late Mary R. (Riley) and George C. Johnson, II.
Mr. Johnson worked for many years in the Stoneham School Department until his retirement.He previously worked for the Melrose Public Works.
He was a Korean War veteran serving in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Norwich, England where he also met his wife. He was a 35 year member of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons with membership in Wyoming Lodge in Melrose. Mr Johnson was a past member of the Mt. Beth-Horon Lodge in Brookline, MA.
Husband of Betty (Wakefield) Johnson with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.Brother of the late Lois J. Turner. Graveside service Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at 1PM in Wyoming Cemetery, Sylvan St., Melrose.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
