George B. Shields
George was born July 13, 1950 in Everett, was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. He was a Field Engineer for 24 years for McPhail Associates in Cambridge. George loved golfing and fishing and watching the New England Patriots.
George was the beloved husband of Evelyn (Curtin) Shields with whom he shared 34 years of marriage. Loving father of Kelly R. Shields and her husband David Lapierre of Melrose and Meghan P. Shields of Melrose. Cherished son of George M. Shields of Melrose and the late Ethel (Bragg) Shields. Dear brother of Donna Riggs and her husband Charles of Summerville, SC, Susan DeStefano and her husband Patrick of Centerville, James M. and his wife Jo-Lynn of Everett and Jennifer A. Shields of Melrose. George is also survived by his best friend, Yoda and many in-laws and nieces and nephews.
