Geraldine A. "Gerry" Mack, of Manchester, New Hampshire and formerly a 52 year resident of Melrose, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Birch Hill Terrace in Manchester, NH, at the age of 92.

Geraldine was born on April 5, 1920 in Medford, one of five children of the late Valentine O'Neil and Mary (Powers) O'Neil.Raised in Medford and East Boston, she served her country proudly during WWII as part of the US Navy WAVES.On May 29, 1948, she married William S. Mack and they settled in Melrose to raise their family of three children.Geraldine who was lovingly known as "Gerry" worked for many years at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital as a cashier, and later would volunteer in the same position.

Gerry was deeply connected to her faith.She was a founding member of the Incarnation Parish where she was a parishioner for over 40 years.Independent and strong, she centered her life around her faith and her family. She and her late husband Bill enjoyed travelling to Hawaii, California, Maine, Canada, and Mexico.She loved life, enjoyed her time with family and friends, and will be missed.

Gerry was the beloved wife of the late William S. Mack with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Robert S. Mack of Tampa, FL, Maureen Andrews and her husband Steven P. of Derry, NH, and William P. Mack and his wife Carole A. of Auburn, NH.Dear sister of the late Glenn Cardinal, Ruth Graziano, Margaret LeBlanc, and Virginia Howard.Cherished grandmother of Brian Mack of Tampa, FL, Shannon Mack of North Port, FL, Scott Andrews of Derry, NH, Patrick Mack of Braintree, Kelly Mack of Manchester, NH, Allison Mack of Auburn, NH, and the late Michael Andrews.Loving great-grandmother of Tyler Andrews.Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Gerry's life for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, on Tuesday, July 31 from 4-8 PM, and again on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St., Melrose where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM.Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
