Gertrude &Quot;Trudy&Quot; Kasprzak
Gertrude or "Trudy" as she was affectionately known was born on September 27, 1917, a daughter of the late Frederick Wright and Mary (Keene) Wright.
Trudy was raised in Everett and graduated from Everett High School.She graduated from Melrose-Wakefield Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for 40 years.Trudy loved spending the summer on Great East Lake in Acton, Maine and enjoyed the winter months in Clearwater, Florida.For many years, she made the car trip travelling by herself from Maine to Florida.
She was the beloved wife of the late Chesley J. "Chet" Kasprzak with whom she shared 30 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Michael J. Kasprzak and his wife Dee of Kennebunk, ME, Chester J. Kasprzak and his wife Marilyn of Wilmington, Thomas W. Kasprzak and his wife Terry of Melrose and Dr. Robert C. Kasprzak and his wife Jean of Knoxville, TN.Dear sister of the late Vivian Madison.She was the cherished grandmother of Pamela Mandeville, Kerri Kasprzak, Christina Waite, Tony Kasprzak, Elaine Russo, Susan Teberio, Tom Kasprzak, Michael J. Kasprzak, David Kasprzak, Kaitlin Kasprzak, Adam Kasprzak, Jonathan Kasprzak and the late Michael T. Kasprzak.Also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service at the First Baptist Church, 561 Main St., Melrose on Monday, February 8 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, Sunday 2-6 PM.Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
