Gianna was born on June 7, 1997 in Melrose, one of three children of John and Lisa (D'Alelio) Dias.Gianna spent her early childhood in Melrose where she attended the Winthrop School.After moving to Lynnfield with her family, Gianna enrolled in the Summer Street School and Lynnfield Middle School.
Strong, brave, and kind, Gianna was such a special person to all who knew her.She loved baking, art, lipstick, her dogs, playing softball, field hockey, and being a gymnast.
She was the treasured and adored daughter of John and Lisa (D'Alelio) Dias of Lynnfield.Cherished sister of Joseph and Lucia Dias, both of Lynnfield.Beloved granddaughter of Joseph & Georgianna D'Alelio of Lynnfield, William Dias of Melrose, and Linda Dias of Wakefield.Loving niece of Joseph D'Alelio and his wife Bernadette of Wakefield, Maria Capachietti and her husband David of Lynnfield, Gina Ford and her husband Michael of Boxford, Scott Dias and his wife Barbara of Springfield, VA, Pam Harvey and her husband Scott of Tewksbury, and Lisa Trischitta and her husband Frank of N. Reading.Also survived by many loving cousins.Her pet cockapoos, "Penny" and "Copper" will miss her constant affection.
Relatives and friends will honor and remember Gianna's life by gathering for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, July 26 from 4-8 PM and again on Friday morning at 9:00 AM before leaving in procession to the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St., Melrose where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, Malden.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Gianna's giving spirit may be made to Angels Above, c/o The "G" Fund, PO Box 9501, Lowell, MA 01852.
