Gloria K. Frazier
Gloria was born in Natick Massachusetts on August 8, 1929, the oldest of three daughters of Gordon and Kathleen (Pink) Olive. She was raised in Cambridge where she graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School.Gloria was married to Paul S. Frazier in Cambridge on May 25, 1957 and settled in Malden to raise their family. For over 35 years, she worked as a Secretary at the First Congregational Church in Malden.
Gloria centered her life around her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Paul.They enjoyed visiting Bermuda, Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, and other exciting destinations across the globe.She enjoyed her annual family vacations to Sandy Island on Lake Winnipesaukee while the kids were young, then annual trips to Poland Springs Resort in Maine and the relaxing beaches at Playa Azul in Puerto Rico with family later in life.
Gloria cherished her time with husband Paul.They enjoyed many activities together including playing bridge, pokeno and dancing. They were active in Green Street Baptist Church for many years serving on the Diaconate and other committees as needed.She enjoyed working at bean suppers and being the greeter, welcoming members and visitors to the church each Sunday.Gloria made every effort to reach out to new comers making sure they felt welcome.
Gloria enjoyed being busy and well organized, she maintained a full social calendar, never wanting to miss a party, and delighted in every opportunity to make a new friend.In her free time, she enjoyed genealogy and organizing family photographs. She was formerly a member of the First Congregational Church of Malden, and most recently a member of the Green Street Baptist Church in Melrose.
Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family. Celebrating birthdays, holidays and vacations with those she loved.She especially enjoyed her grandson Paul,taking every opportunity to spend time with him and sharing new experiences throughout his life. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Gloria was the beloved wife of Paul S. Frazier with whom she shared nearly 63 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Barbara Frazier of Lynnfield, and Stephen Frazier & his wife Maria of Medford. Cherished grandmother of Paul Frazier of Malden. Caring sister of Barbara Smith of PA, and the late Norma Ellis. Also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Relatives & friends will gather in honor of Gloria's life for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, March 12 from 4-8pm, and for her Funeral Service at the Brooksby Village Chapel, 300 Brooksby Village Dr., Peabody on Friday at 10am. Gifts in Gloria's memory may be made to the Green Street Baptist Church, 179 Green St., Melrose MA 02176.
