Gwendolyn M. "Gwen" Goddard

Mrs. Gwendolyn M. "Gwen" (Rogers) Goddard, a lifelong resident of Melrose, passed away on Monday morning August 3, 2009 at River Terrace Health Care in Lancaster.She was 88 years old.Mrs. Goddard was born October 23, 1920 in Red Deer, Alberta Canada, a daughter of the late John G. Rogers and Minnie (Watson) Rogers.Gwendolyn or "Gwen" Goddard was raised in both Canada and Melrose.She graduated from Melrose High School in the Class of 1938.Gwen was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Woman's Club at the Church and the Melrose Republican Club.Mrs. Goddard was the beloved wife of the late Arthur M. Goddard.Devoted mother of Frank W. Goddard and his wife Bonnie of Leominster.Dear sister of Vera Youens of Canada, and the late Vernon Rogers, Dorothy Robinson, and Jean Kerns.Cherished grandmother of Dalton D. Goddard.Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, August 6 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 5-7 PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
