Mrs. Helen M. (Solberg) Holland of Burlington, formerly of Melrose, died Wednesday morning, November 2, 2005 at the University Commons Nursing Home in Worcester. Mrs. Holland was born in Melrose, June 15, 1924, daughter of the late Frederick C. Solberg and Ethel (Keander) Solberg.
She lived in Melrose for 44 years before moving to Burlington in 1968 and then to Worcester in 1998.She and her late husband, Jack, had shared 22 years of marriage. She was a long-time member of the United Church of Christ Congregational in Burlington in which she was very active. She was a former member of the Gray Ladies Volunteer Group at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Helen was the wife of the late William "Jack" Holland. Mother of Peter R. Greenlaw of North Grafton and Richard F. Greenlaw of East Brunswick, NJ. Sister of the late Edythe S. Ghen. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.Funeral Service at the United Church of Christ Congregational, 6 Lexington St., Burlington, Monday, November 7 at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Sunday, 2-5 PM. Interment will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington, MA.
