Mrs. Helen C. (St. George) Kochocki, a resident of Saugus, formerly of East Boston and Chelsea passed away peacefully on Thursday evening March 14, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, at the age of 89.
She was born in East Boston on July 4th, 1923, one of ten children of the late Albert & Madeline (Laracy) St. George.Helen was raised and educated in East Boston and married her late husband Stanley J. Kockocki in January of 1946.They settled in Chelsea where they raised three daughters and one son.Helen worked for Sky Chef and American Airlines at Logan Airport.
Helen loved dancing and traveling with family and friends.She was a member of the Polish Falcons of Chelsea, and the Interline Club at the airport.
She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley J. Kochocki with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Janice Utter and her husband John of Noblesville, IN, Joyce Brown and her husband Larry of Saugus, Joseph Kochocki and his wife Hazel of Lynnfield, and the late Joan Martinez and her husband Mario of Stoneham.Dear sister of Albert St. George of Billerica, Catherine McCarty of Hampton, NH, Madeline McGowan of S. Yarmouth, Herbert St. George of Hope Mills, NC, and the late Patrick, Alice Mercurio, James, Richard and John.Cherished grandmother of James Utter, Joan Richardson, Julie Pittman, Kathleen Costello, Michael Brown, Anne Marie Munoz, Lisa Beattie, Liam Kochocki, Jacob Kochocki, Alina Kochocki, and the late Christopher C. Brown and Julianna M. Martinez.Loving great-grandmother of Caroline, Darren, Annabel, Abigail, Atley, Frank, Jarred, Jeyla, and Lola.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Helen's life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Monday, March 18 from 4-8PM, and again on Tuesday morning at 8:45 AM before leaving in procession to St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
