Mrs. Helen D. (DeFronzo) Longo of Melrose died Friday morning, March 24, 2006, in the Tuell Nursing Home in Melrose.
Mrs. Longo was born in Boston June 16, 1920, daughter of the late Pasquale DeFronzo and Carmella (Dambrosio) DeFronzo.
Mrs. Longo was a graduate of Girls Latin in Boston.She had worked many years as a seamstress and was a member of the Sons of Italy in Melrose.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Longo.Loving mother of Rose C. Puffer of Islamabad, Pakistan and Joseph D. Longo of Medford.Sister of Emma DeFronzo of Boston and Antonetta Amari and her husband Anthony of Malden and the late Biagio DeFronzo, Michael DeFronzo and Esther Chuilli.Sister-in-law of Genevieve DiCarlo of Topsfield, Anne DiCarlo, Beatrice Longo, Isabelle Adinolfi and her husband Thomas Adinolfi all of Melrose, Anna DeFronzo of Winchester and the late Inez DeFronzo, and Margaret Tierney.Cherished grandmother of David Puffer of Boston.
