Herbert F. Munday, 88 of Melrose died Monday morning, October 31, 2005 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Mr. Munday was born June 6, 1917 in Cambridge, MA, son of the late Forrest Munday and Emily (Coffin) Munday. Mr. Mundaygraduated from Boston Technical School for Plumbing and was the retired co-owner of Elge Plumbing & Heating Co. in Boston.Herbert was a WWII Navy Veteran. Herbert's love and passion was as a pilot, flying his airplane on many trips. Herbert was the beloved husband of Dorothea E. "Dorothy" (Campbell) Munday. Loving father of Paula L. Savary and her husband, Jay of Melrose and Robert F. Munday and his wife Lynne of Hamden, CT. Devoted brother of Patricia Hogan of Lynnfield. Cherished grandfather of Jonathan Savary and Alisha Savary both of Melrose and Michelle Munday and Danielle Munday, both of Hamden, CT. Uncle of Karen Ryan and her husband Jack of Lynnfield, Steven Lee of NH and Richard Sawyer of OH. Grand uncle of Matt Ryanand Cody Ryan both of Lynnfield. Funeral service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Saturday, Nov. 5 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose, MA. Gifts in his memory may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA01701.
