Hope E. (Wade) Sprowl, 83 of Nokomis, FL, formerly a 49 year resident of Wakefield, died Monday, July 10, 2006 in the Sarasota Health & Rehab Hospital in Sarasota, FL following a period of declining health.
Hope was born May 3, 1923 in Lynn, MA, daughter of the late Raymond B. Wade and Esther M. (Palmatier) Wade.
Mrs. Sprowl was raised in Swampscott and graduated from Swampscott High School. She was a graduate of Burdett College and served in the United States Navy during WWII. Hope was a cashier in the cafeteria at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Welcome Wheel at the Greenwood Union Church, Wakefield, a proud member of TOPS and loved painting and knitting.
Hope was the devoted mother of Lynda LeMar of Nokomis, FL, Richard R. Sprowl and his wife, Karen of Lowell, Janet E. Ronan and her husband Tom of Derry, NH, Joyce Corbett of Sarasota, FL and her late husband, William.Sister of Richard Wade of Haverhill. Cherishedgrandmother of JanetLynne Dunn, Dan Ronan, Megan Ronan, Kara Corbett, Billy Corbett. and 5 great-grandchildren.
