Irene M. (Simon) Schwartz

Irene M. (Simon) Schwartz, of Malden formerly of W. Peabody, passed away peacefully at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at age 88.

Irene was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 20, 1933, daughter of the late Max and Ruth Simon. She was raised and educated in Brooklyn, and moved to W. Peabody with her family of three children.

Irene worked for many years with her husband in the family business, Pizza Pizzaz, in downtown Boston. With her longtime connection to the industry, she enjoyed going out to eat throughout her life, especially for pizza. In her free time, she loved going shopping.

Irene was the wife of the late Samuel J. Schwartz. Mother of Morris J. Schwartz and his wife Sharla of Daytona, FL, David L. Schwartz of Malden, and the late Samantha Winsor and her surviving husband Robert of Burlington. Loving grandmother of 3 grandchildren. Services are private.
