Ivy M. Pike, a resident of Gilmanton, New Hampshire and Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 after a period of declining health at Hernando Hospice Care Center in Brooksville, Florida.She was 94.
Ivy was born on November 15, 1915 in Barrington, Nova Scotia, a daughter of the late Robert H.W. Pike and Elizabeth (MacKay) Pike.
She was raised in Weymouth, Massachusetts where she graduated from Weymouth High School.She received a degree in business from Bryant & Stratton College and worked as an administrative assistant for Spaulding Moss and Boston University Medical School.After her retirement, she lived in Gilmanton, NH and enjoyed the winter months in Spring Hill, FL.Ivy enjoyed art and painting.
Ivy was the loving sister of Eula Tower of Bow, NH, Florence E. Pike of Lynnfield, Betty Whittier of Melrose, Audrey Sulis of Falmouth, Heloise Mailloux of NJ, and the late Eleanor Arnoldi.Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
