Mrs. Jacqueline L. (Pujol) Howe, a resident of Stoneham, died on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was 86 years old.
Jacqueline was born on January 2, 1923 in Paris, France, a daughter of the late Andre J. Pujol and Estelle F. (Costa) Pujol.
Mrs. Howe was raised in Paris, France and immigrated to the United States in 1946 at the age of 23.She worked for Transitron in Melrose, American Mutual Insurance Company in Wakefield and retired from Compugraphic Corporation in Wilmington.She also taught French in the Stoneham Public Schools.She was a longtime resident of the greater Stoneham area.She and her late husband resided in Seminole, Florida for a few years early in their retirements, but returned to the area to be closer to their family and friends.
Jacqueline very much enjoyed the company of her friends and family.She spent hours watching her son and grandchildren play sports and was very proud of her family's athletic and academic accomplishments.With her late husband, she went on many trips to Bermuda and France.In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, shopping and watching television, especially game shows like "The Price is Right", "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy".
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank H. Howe.Devoted mother of Frank H. Howe, Jr. and his wife Alison of Windham, NH.Dear sister of Odette Sarazin of France and predeceased by one brother.Cherished grandmother of Michelle L. Howe and Julie L. Turner both of San Diego, CA, Jessica L. Howe and Emily C. Howe both of Windham, NH.Cherished great grandmother of Owen Turner and Landon Turner.
Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Wednesday April 8, 2009 at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
