Mrs. Jane (Frishmuth) Glazier, a longtime resident of Stoneham and a former resident of Melrose, died unexpectedly on Friday evening, January 25, 2013 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, at the age of 76.
Mrs. Glazier was born on September 5, 1936 in Abington, PA the daughter of the late JohnFrishmuth and Frances (Johnson) Frishmuth.She was raised and educated in Abington, PAand graduated from Brown University with a degree in Classics.She worked with her late husband Maurice in the family business and later for the Melrose Free Press. For the past 13 years she has been Executive Assistant for Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates of Cambridge and New York.
Jane was a great cook, enjoyed knitting baby blankets, and was always a thoughtful, loving person.Jane loved spending time with her family and will be remembered for her great sense of wit and humor
Jane was the beloved wife of the late Maurice H. Glazier with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Linda B. Dalton and her husband Glen L. Dalton of Stoneham and Karl D. Glazier and his wife Carla A. Gumm of Westbury, NY.Cherished grandmother of Rebecca E. Dalton of Stoneham.Loving aunt of David Glazier of CA, Steven Glazier of SC and Michael Glazier of VA.Also survived by Ozzy and Mac, her dear "grand-dogs."
