Jean C. (French) Richardson, 87, a registered nurse, of Wakefield and formerly a long time resident of Melrose died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital after a brief illness on Monday evening October 24, 2005. Jean was born in Worcester, June 25, 1918, daughter of the late E. Warren French and Sophia (Markham) French. Jean was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School in 1937 and Mass General Hospital School of Nursing in 1940.Jean was a registered nurse at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for over 30 years and a long time member of Theta in Melrose. Jean was the devoted wife of the late James W. Richardson.Loving mother of Donald W. Richardson of Wakefield, Lee F. Richardson of Shrewsbury and Janice L. "Jan" Pizzano of Ashland, NH.Sister of the late Isabelle "Dickie" Creelman and Virginia F. Duke. Also survived by 7 cherished grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Friday October 28 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA. Arrangements by Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St. Melrose, MA.
