Mrs. Jeanne M. (Bragdon) Worters, a longtime resident of Wakefield, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Beverly Hospital. She was 82 years old.

Jeanne was born on February 20, 1928 in Melrose, one of two daughters of the late James W. Bragdon and Doris H. (Gibbons) Bragdon.

Mrs. Worters was raised and educated in Dracut.She and her late husband James lived in Wakefield where they raised their family.For many years, Jeanne worked as a home health aide.She was a longtime and active member of the Rebekah Lodge of Wakefield.

She was the beloved wife of the late James Worters.Devoted mother of James L. Worters of Salem, NH, Donna J. DiCeglie and her late husband Vinnie of Haverhill, Carol A. Launsby and her husband Scott of Raymond, NH, David W. Worters and his wife Melissa of Montgomery, IL and the late Linda M. Worters and Daniel M. Worters.Dear sister of the late Doris Perras. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Tuesday, September 7 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 PM.Interment in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
