Mrs. Thistle was born April 3, 1912 in Chelsea, MA, daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary Anna (Hoskins) Butt.
Mrs. Thistle was a graduate of Everett High School.She was a long-time member of the First Congregational Church of Melrose and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Melrose Chapter.
Wife of the late Samuel LeGrow Thistle.Mother of Robert S. Thistle and his wife Ruth of Laconia,NH and Carol R. Bartlett and her husband Frank of North Carolina.Grandmother of Pamela J. Otis of Derry, NH and Jeffrey S. Bartlett of Florida.Great-grandmother of Jacob Samuel Bartlett.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose, MA.
