She was born in Haddonfield, New Jersey on December 31, 1923, a daughter of the late Otto Henschel and Marie (Merz) Henschel.
Jo was raised in New Jersey, where she graduated from Haddonfield High School.She lived in Melrose for 35 years and later in Stoneham for 12 years.She was a longtime member of the Melrose Unitarian Universalist Church and Kappa Delta Psi.She belonged to the Melrose Visiting Nurse Service and was a member of the Friends of the Fells.She volunteered her time to assist at both the Melrose and Stoneham Public Libraries.Jo loved knitting and sewing.
Jo was the beloved wife of Donald W. Gould.Loving mother of Ellen Gould-Silcott and her husband, Tom of Van Nuys, CA and David H. Gould and his wife, Sandra of Warren, VT.Dear sister of Margaret Durham of Aiken, SC, and the late Helen Wood and Marie Durham.Cherished grandmother of Harris Silcott, Naamah Silcott, and Julian Silcott all of Van Nuys, CA.
