Joan Sevigny was born in Melrose on November 10, 1953, one of two daughters of the late Owen V. McMillen and Sophie (Smith) McMillen.Joan was raised in Melrose and graduated from Nazareth Academy.She loved dancing, cooking and was an avid reader.
She was the wife of Joseph R. Sevigny. Mother of Julie M. Sevigny of Manchester, NH.Dear sister of Helen M. Bouchie and her husband John M. Bouchie of Malden. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and her pet cat, Sylvester.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Monday, October 4 at 8 AM followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in honor and remembrance of Joan in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-4 PM.Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.Gifts in Joan's memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114, (www.shrinershq.org).
