Mrs. Joanne (Green) Crupi, a resident of Wakefield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Lawrence-Memorial Hospital.She was 80.
Joanne was born on May 15, 1934 in Malden, one of three children of the late Frederick R. and Esther A. (Coughlin) Green. She was raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School.On February 6, 1955, she married her best friend and love of her life Robert L. Crupi and they settled in Wakefield.
Joanne worked for Hills News in Melrose and John Hancock in Boston, however, she was first and foremost a loving mother of four daughters.She loved being a homemaker and providing the necessary care, unending support, and loving attention that her family needed.She was also a great cook, enjoyed shopping, painting, knitting, sewing, and crewel needle work. She very much enjoyed spending time gathered together as a family at their cottage in East Kingston, New Hampshire.
She was the beloved wife of Robert L. Crupi with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.Devoted mother of Sandra A. Jamieson and her husband John Dan of Townsend, Gail M. Cucurullo and her husband Joseph of Peabody, Nancy J. Hoyt and her husband Kevin of Sandown, NH, and Sharon R. Brawley and her husband Joseph of Tewksbury.Dear sister of Jacqueline Green of Stoneham, and the late Frederick R. Green.Cherished grandmother of Christopher Jamieson, Sean Jamieson, Matthew Jamieson, Kimberly Jamieson, Steven Cucurullo, Jayna Cucurullo, Gregory Hoyt, Madeline Hoyt, Kelly Brawley, Michael Brawley, and Richard Brawley.Loving great-grandmother of Hailey Jamieson.
