Joe was born in Cambridge, a son of the late Max Baratz and Jane (Michelson) Baratz.
Mr. Baratz was raised in the South End.He worked as a Route Salesman for Interstate Distributors.He was a former long-time North Reading resident before moving to Saugus.He was a life-long ballroom dancer and also loved to bowl.He was a member of Teamsters Local 25.
Joe was the beloved husband of 54 years to Helen M. (Washburn) Baratz.He was the loving father of Beverly Saghier of Winter Haven, FL and Sandra Jean Giordano of Long Island, NY.He was the dear brother of Ruth Logen, Milton "Mickey" Baratz and the late Marion Baratz and Esther Zides.Joe was the cherished grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
