Joe Tricca, 82
a 47 year resident of Melrose and retired Postal Clerk at Logan Airport died Saturday March 13, 2004 at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Melrose.Joe was born in Boston, MA July 22, 1921, son of the late Adelina (DiGiovanni) Tricca and Joseph Tricca.
Joe grew up in Everett, graduated from Everett High School and attended Northeastern University.Joe was a Postal Clerk for 30 years and a union carpenter for Local 218. Joe served in the Army during WWII and retired from the National Guard in Melrose as a Master Sergeant.
Joe was the husband of Rose (Finocchio) Tricca. Father of Joseph A. of Middleton, Steven A. of Newburyport, Marjorie A. Tricca of Kittery, ME, Kathleen M. Young of Wakefield, Rosanne J. Spinney of North Reading, Paula J. Neulist of Tewksbury and Nancy J. York of York, ME. Brother of Matilda Fanelle and Mildred Tricca both of Everett.Also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Wednesday March 17 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church (corner of Myrtle and Herbert St.) Melrose at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
