John J. Doucette

John J. Doucette, long-time Melrose resident, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 14, 2024. He was 61.

Born on January 25, 1963, in Malden, he was one of two children of the late John J. and Judith (McGrath) Doucette. John grew up in the warm embrace of this close-knit community. A proud graduate of the Melrose High School Class of 1981, he went on to serve his country with honor in the Air Force, a commitment he cherished deeply. While in the Air Force, he earned an associate degree from the Air Force Community College.

After his service, John found his passion in the world of Information Technology. His career was marked by an unwavering dedication to his work, but those who truly knew him understood that it was his caring nature that defined him. John was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, always ready to drop everything to help someone in need.

He had a zest for life, enjoying the little things like bowling, exercising, and, most importantly, spending time with his loved ones. John had a heart full of kindness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

John will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

John is the devoted father of Jack Doucette and his wife, Katrina, of Lincoln and the loving brother of Janice LeBlanc and her husband, David, of Everett.

Family & friends are invited to gather in honor of John's life during visiting hours at Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Friday, Dec. 27 from 4-7pm and again on Saturday for his Funeral Service celebrated at 10am.
