Mr. MacDonald was born on the 4th of July, 1918 in Lynn, a son of the late Angus J. MacDonald and Margaret L. (Travers) MacDonald.
John was a purchasing agent for 38 years for the Railway Express Co. on Atlantic Avenue in Boston.
John was the beloved husband of A. Barbara (Fitzpatrick) MacDonald.Devoted father of John H. MacDonald, Jr. and his wife Janet of Stoneham, Roderick A. MacDonald and his wife Phyllis of Wakefield, and Michael A. MacDonald and his wife Ann of Buzzards Bay.Dear brother of Angus J. MacDonald of Braintree, Paul M. MacDonald of Stoneham, Claire Ritchie of Andover and the late Roderick MacDonald.Also lovingly survived by 8 grandchildren.
