Josephine was born on April 2, 1925, in East Boston, one of four children of the late Arthur Lewis and Anna (Doherty) Lewis.She was raised and educated in East Boston.For many years Josephine was a devoted bookkeeper for three family businesses. Josephine loved entertaining her family and friends, cooking and baking and opening up her home at holidays with her beautiful holiday decorations
Josephinewas the devoted mother of Domenic , Anthony and Michael Melito all of Melrose. Dear sister of the late Arthur T. Lewis, Alice A. Coletta and John A. Lewis.Grandmother of Theresa Melito of Melrose. Dear aunt of Andrea Burke and Ron Tate of Melrose and John Coletta of Lexington. Great aunt of Allison Burke of Melrose. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Former wife of the late Anthony Melito.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Josephine's life at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose for visiting hours on Wednesday, August 6 from 8AM -11AM followed by her Funeral Service celebrated at 11 AM.
