Mrs. Julie H. (Thistle) Moore, a longtime resident of Everett, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, at the age of 99.

Julie was born on January 2, 1913, one of four children of the late Joseph and Suzanna (Skinner) Thistle. She was raised and educated in Canada before moving to Everett.She married her late husband John "Jack" Moore in 1943, and raised their son John, Jr. in Everett.She was a longtime active member of the Elm Street Baptist Church.Mrs. Moore was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, ceramics, knitting, and sewing, especially baby clothes.She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She was the beloved wife of the late John W. "Jack" Moore, Sr. with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.Devoted mother of John W. Moore, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Melrose.Dear sister of the late Lillian LeGrow, Chesley Thistle, and Ann Goobie.Cherished grandmother of Arielle, Craig, and Evan Moore, all of Melrose.Loving aunt of Linda Burkett of FL, Cynthia Masterson of NH, and the late Greta Thistle.

Relatives and friends will honor and remember Julie's life by gathering for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Saturday, December 8 from 9-11 AM followed by her Funeral Service celebrated at 11:00 AM.Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
