Mr. Kenneth A. Desrosiers, age 87, a long-time resident of Melrose and a former resident of Revere, died Wednesday evening, July 9, 2007, at the Massachusetts General Hospital following a period of declining health.
He was born in Fall River, MA August 29, 1920, a son of the late Joseph A. and Florence (Edmondson) Desrosiers.
Ken was a graduate of Durfee High School, Fall River, and had worked as a manager for Howard Johnson's Confectionary Plant in Quincy for 35 years.He served in the United States Navy during WWII on the USS Enterprise in the Pacific Theatre.Ken, also worked as a sexton at the First Congregational Church in Melrose for over 20 years. He cherished all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ken was the loving husband of Vi (Hill) Desrosiers and the late Mary (Pottle) Desrosiers.Devoted father of the late Judith A. Hughes.Devoted father-in-law of J. Michael Hughes. Dear father of Ken R. Desrosiers. Dear brother of Russell, Millie Lowden and the late Norman Desrosiers.Cherished grandfather of Kim, Bill, Michael, Erin, Sean, Michelle, Sarah, Ken, Matthew, Melissa and Kevin.Cherished great-grandfather of Breanne, Nathan, Jack, Connor, Tyler, Braden, Jacob, Sydney and Madison.
