Laura (Taylor) Rowe, 91, of South Paris, Maine a former longtime resident of Everett and Wakefield, MA, died at the Market Square Nursing Home, South Paris, Maine on
Wednesday, January 22, 2003.
She was born in Bristol's Hope, Newfoundland, CN on September 4, 1911, and
was the daughter of the late John Dalton Taylor and Isabel (Adams) Taylor.She was a
member of the Glendale United Methodist Church in Everett for over 49 years, the
Womens Society at the church, Order of the Eastern Star, Everett and for many years
worked in the Cafeteria at Wakefield High School, Wakefield, MA .
After living in Everettfor 26 years, she moved with her husband and family to
Wakefield, then moved to Shrewsbury in 1992 and in June 2001 moved to South Paris,
ME until her death.
Wife of the late John A. Rowe.Mother of Beverly J. Locke and her husband, Bill
of Berkeley Springs, WV and Donna Lee Fowlie and her husband, Charles of Lovell, ME.
Sister ofVal Taylor and his wife Marion of Melrose, Jean Parsons of Sudbury, Grace
Gilford and her husband, Gil of Topsfield, and Helen Payne of Gander, Newfoundland,
CN.Grandmother of the late Gale A. Fowlie.Also survived by 6 grandchildren,7
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Monday
January 27 at 12 Noon.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting
hours Monday 11- 12 AM.Gifts in her memory may be made to Market Square Health
Care Center, EAC Fund, 3 Market Square, So. Paris,ME 04281. Interment in Puritan
Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA
