Lawrence "Larry" Boyd
He served in the US Army during WW II from 1943 to 1945. He was employed by The Boston & Maine Railroad, Boston, MA as a Civil Engineer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Melrose, MA; he was a Mason with the Alna Anchor Lodge #43 AF & AM, Damariscotta, ME; member of the Wyoming Lodge in Melrose, MA; member of the Waverly Royal Arch Chapter in Melrose, MA; member of Major General Henry Knox Lodge, Boston, MA; member of the Star of Bethlehem Lodge, Wakefield, MA and member of the Shriners, Boston, MA.
Larry was the beloved husband of Verna (Wyman) Boyd with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.Devoted father of L. Henry Boyd and his wife Debi of Ipswich, Michael P. Boyd and his wife Laurie of N. Reading and Melissa J. Kerick and her husband Joe of Great Meadows, NJ. Dear brother of Janice Young of Cleveland, GA and the late Harold, Marion Young, Doris Arnold and Margaret Arnold. Cherished grandfather of Kirsten L. Boyd of Bradford and Corey Boyd of N. Reading. Cherished great grandfather of Julianna and Taylor both of Bradford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will honor and remember Larry's life by gathering for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Friday, July 6 from 4-8 PM and again on Saturday morning where his Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10 AM.
