Mrs. Lee M. (Stafford) McCann, a lifelong resident of Melrose, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a period of declining health.She was 52 years old.Lee was born November 17, 1957 in Somerville and graduated from Northeast Regional Vocational School in Wakefield.She studied in England and graduated from Bunker Hill Community College with a Business Degree.A US Army Sergeant, Lee served her country from 1976 until 1994 and saw active duty in Desert Storm.Lee was a member of the Harold O. Young VFW Post #2394. She was the beloved wife of Barry E. McCann.Loving daughter of M. June (Horan) Stafford and the late Robert L. "Bob" Stafford.Dear sister of Jeanne R. Stafford of Malden, Scott D. Stafford and his wife Joanne of Wilmington, Dana A. Stafford of Londonderry, NH, and the late Wayne R. Stafford.Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Funeral Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, Monday, November 30 at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM.Interment with military honors in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
