Lori Stewart Coletti, a resident of Essex, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2017, at age 52.
Born on February 14, 1965 in Malden, Lori was raised in Melrose where she graduated from Melrose High School. She received her BS Degree in Architecture Design from Cornell and her MBA from Simmons College School of Management. Analytical, driven, and fearless, Lori built a successful career in architecture and construction consulting.
As a young woman, Lori started at New England Telephone in Facilities Design and Engineering. She then helped launch Fox Relocation Management where she served as Vice President and COO. Establishing herself as a leader in construction management, Lori then served as Director of Client Services for Elaine Construction. Lori also operated an independent consulting business, Big Bark Solutions since 2012. More recently, she was employed at East Coast Office Installation and Harding & Stewart Insurance. With her experience, persuasive force, and an eye for art and design, Lori had an ability to turn good businesses into great businesses. Everything she was involved with, she built into something bigger. With her hard work and years of personal connections in the field, Lori left an indelible mark on the industry.
Lori also taught classes at Wentworth Institute where she mentored and supported many facility management students. She was a passionate supporter of women in business, and was a member and past President of the International Facility Management Association.
Outside of her work, her family was most important. She was a great cook, and loved animals, especially her beloved rescue dogs. In her free time, she enjoyed bicycling, boating, the beach, and time away with family and her dogs in Stowe, VT. Lori was a world traveler with a love for designer clothing, and never missed an opportunity to treat herself.
Lori will be remembered for her unconditional support to so many, including her dear friend Julio, and her overly generous spirit to family and friends. She will be missed.
