Louisa M.(Schroeffel) Oliveira

Louisa M. Oliveira, longtime resident of Lynn, MA, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2024, at the age of 76. Surrounded by her loved ones, Louisa left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and warmth that will forever be remembered.

Born on August 3, 1947, in Medford, MA, Louisa was the daughter of the late George J. and Helen E. (Lyons) Schroeffel. She grew up in her hometown of Chelsea, MA and was a proud graduate of Chelsea High's class of 1965. Throughout her life, she captivated those around her with her compassionate and caring nature, spreading joy wherever she went. Louisa enjoyed her work as a receptionist at a local Lynnfield hair salon where she created lasting bonds with colleagues and clients alike.

Outside of her professional life, Louisa had a passion for her family and daily activities that brought her immeasurable happiness. She found solace in getting lost within the pages of a good book, appreciating the timeless beauty of classical music, and challenging herself with intricate jigsaw puzzles. Louisa delighted in meeting her friends for lunch dates, where laughter and camaraderie flowed freely, and cheering on her beloved Boston Red Sox. In her younger years, she reveled in knocking down pins at the local bowling alley.

Louisa's adoration for the coastal beauty of Ogunquit, Maine was unparalleled. She found tranquility and peace in the lapping waves, the salty breeze, and the picturesque sunsets that graced the charming town.

As we say our final farewell, let us remember the laughter she brought, the love she shared, and the impact she made on all those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace.

Louisa was the beloved wife of Paul R. Oliveira, devoted mother of Nicholas P. Oliveira and his wife Amy E. of Providence, RI, and the loving sister of the late George P. Schroeffel.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Saturday, Feb. 3, from 9-11am, followed by her Funeral Service celebrated at 11am.  Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
