Mrs. Louise (Walsh) Grant, of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Suncoast Hospice House Brookside in Palm Harbor, Florida, at the age of 92.

Louise was born on February 10, 1920 in Boston, a daughter of the late Michael Walsh and Mary (Linsky) Walsh.She was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain and Roxbury.In her spare time, she loved sewing and cooking.

Louise is predeceased by her husband Horatio "Harry" Grant; her daughter, Martha Brunick; sisters, Anna Pisco and Mary Elizabeth Walsh; son-in-law, Donald Gillis.

She is survived by her children, Thomas H. "Sonny" Grant and his wife Lorraine of Melrose, Joanne C. Gillis of Dedham, Maureen E. Salvage of Standish, ME, Cheryl Grant of Amesbury, and Michael Grant and his girlfriend Chris of Palm Harbor, FL.Also survived by 15 loving grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will honor and remember Louise's life by gathering for visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Tuesday, February 28 from 4-8 PM and again on Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM before leaving in procession to St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
