Mabel J. Folino

Mabel J. Folino, resident of Saugus, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at a Reading healthcare facility at the age of 100.

Born on July 7, 1923, in Somerville, Mabel was one of four children of the late Daniel and Mabel (Coughlin) Mullen. She grew up in Chelsea and graduated from St. Rose High School in 1941. Mabel had a deep love for her family and she found joy in spending time with her many nieces and nephews, playing cards, and catching up with neighbors over coffee.

Her warm and loving spirit radiated through her passion for preparing Sunday dinners, a tradition her family will always treasure. Mabel cherished moments with her grandchildren, finding delight in their presence. Social by nature, she found much happiness engaging with others at the Chelsea Senior Center and during her shopping excursions.

Mabel's legacy of love and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.

Mabel was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas R. Folino with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Robert F. Folino and his wife Donna of Saugus, and Denise F. Korzeniowski and her husband Michael of Medford. Loving sister of the late John Mullen, Frank Mullen, and Ellen Wing. Cherished grandmother of Kristin Korzeniowski and her wife Caroline Fales, Mark Korzeniowski and his wife Alyssa, Megan Kirkham and her husband Matthew, and Lauren Blaeser and her husband Luke, and also survived by three great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, on Tuesday, March 26 from 9-11am, and for her Funeral Service celebrated at 11am. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
