Margaret &Quot;Peggy&Quot; Cottone Hanson
Margaret was born on April 29, 1926 in Stoneham, a daughter of the late Lorenzo Laudazi and Susan (Gallella) Laudazi.
She was raised in Stoneham and graduated from St. Patrick's School.For many years, she worked as an administrator for the Pullman Vacuum Co. in Malden.Margaret or "Peggy" as she was well known also worked for the City of Melrose in the City Clerk's Office and in the office of the Melrose Police Department.
Peggy was known for her free spirit and good nature.She always put others before herself.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late William J. Hanson, Jr. and Peter J. Cottone, Sr.Devoted mother of Peter J. Cottone, Jr. and his wife Siobhan of Elgin, IL, and Philip J. Cottone of Melrose.Dear sister of Marie Gunnery of Ponte Vedra, FL and the late Eleanor Lucci.Cherished grandmother of Gannon Cottone of Elgin, IL, Justin Cottone of Northport, FL and Devan Cottone of Cape Coral, FL.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE, on Saturday, September 25 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in honor and remembrance of her life in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Friday from 4-8 PM.Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
